Christmas was good this year. A little bit different, but still so good.
A few of the minor differences...we mailed letters to Santa instead of visiting him and and didn't have any Christmas programs to go to other than our recorded piano Christmas special.
We built our first lego Christmas village set which we hope to add to each year from now on. We watched a million Christmas movies and had fun incorporating things like baking christmas cookies and Polar Express day into home school. :)
But ultimately, we celebrated the Advent season, attended Christmas Eve service, and Christmas morning still came as usual and was full of joy!
We missed out on some "extra" family gatherings like Aunt Dee's, the Curtis family gathering and we even had to miss Grandma Margaret's Christmas this year because of time conflict, but we were still able to be with the Carlins (except Mitch had to stay home with "sick" Kallie) and the Clevelands (with the Minnesota families through Zoom).
So 2020 was a little different, yes, but still filled with the same joy, peace, love, and hope found in Jesus! THAT always stays the same.
